Australian luxury lifestyle brand Oroton has revealed its arresting new Spring/Summer 2015 campaign imagery, staring brand ambassador Rose Byrne, undeniably one of Australia’s most beloved actresses.
The Sydney-born star, now based in New York, recently flew home to Australia to shoot her second campaign for the brand, which was directed by the brand’s general manager and creative director Ana Maria Escobar. The all-Australian team also included some of the country’s most talented creative artists: photographer Steven Chee, Vogue fashion director Christine Centenera, hair extraordinaire Renya Xydis and makeup guru Victoria Baron.
“The brand is going through a real transformation. For me as a designer, it was essential that we had someone who really reflected the future of the brand and Rose is just perfect. She is an Australian style icon, but she’s also a celebrated international face. She is exactly who I have in my mind when I am designing. Rose is the ideal Oroton woman,” says Escobar.
For Oroton, having an Australian face is key for the 75-year-old heritage brand. “It was important to have an Australian face, because the more we transform and present our new vision, we realise just how inspired we are by our place of origin. The question we always ask ourselves is ‘how do we define Australian luxury?’ or ‘What does a luxury brand coming from Australia look like?’ To us, Rose is exactly what Australian luxury looks like.”
